Thanksgiving is a special time of year where you reflect upon the things that mean the most to you in life. This year like most other years I am very thankful for my family, my friends and my boyfriend. They are the ones that fill my life with so much joy. Another huge part of life that I am thankful for are my jobs, the things that keep me so busy that its hard for me to post frequently (I’m trying to get better!).
I think that the centerpiece of the table is very important because we all know how much time on Thanksgiving is spent around the table. With the most delicious food, my favorite is a vegetable casserole. (yum!)
I was so busy this year with work (at both of my jobs) that I had to call in the pros to help…cue brittanyfromboston.com. She helped construct this masterpiece by using flowers with fall hues to fill a cornucopia that I have had for years! Every Thanksgiving season they have similar ones at Homegoods!
When constructing this cornucopia bouquet you place some longer leafy greens on the bottom and outsides to create a bit of depth in the vase and then place a big natural (white or beige) flower and surround that with a darker burgundy flower and a few pops of color, we chose orange and yellow. Every bouquet turns out very different so embrace it and don’t be afraid to play around with it for a while until it comes out just right!
